Where it all began...

My name is Amandine, and behind Kali Céramique, there's a story of an encounter.

My encounter with clay began in 2010, in Brittany. One winter evening, as I was walking through the streets to reach the seaside, a lit storefront caught my eye. The light was soft, almost enveloping, and the fog on the window hinted at the warmth inside the workshop.

Inside, a ceramist was busy at work. I stood there, outside, watching her. My heart was pounding, though I didn't quite understand why. But one thing was certain: I knew I wanted to do the same thing.

The next day, I came back. And I started.

For several years, I sometimes drifted away from ceramics... only to return to it. The desire was always there, discreet but persistent. Like a thread I never truly let go of. Perhaps I simply wasn't ready yet.

Today, I've chosen to fully commit myself.

Through Kali Céramique, I aim to create delicate and authentic pieces, handcrafted, bearing the trace of the gesture and time. Simple, yet vibrant objects that accompany daily life with gentleness.

More than just an object, I want to convey an emotion, a presence, a connection to the material and the moment.
